反省
日々問題が起きます。問題が発見できたことはうれしいことです。問題が起きたらすぐに反省をする。でも反省するだけで終わってしまったら、何の意味もありません。いくら反省を書いてもだめです。どうすれば変われるか。それは行動するしかありません。いくら反省文を書いたところで、行動しなければ、失敗した意味がないのです。日々日々問題は出てきます。その都度改善していかなければ明日はないのです。何回も言いますが、変われるか、変われないかは自分次第です。変わるということは大変なことです。自分自身と闘わなければそう簡単に変われません。行動してください。
本日の朝礼である社員から感動する話がありました。セレモニーの３年目の社員と２年目の社員が敬語で話をしているのをみて、不思議に思ってどうしてお互い敬語を使っているのかを聞いたそうです。そうすると、３年目の社員は「年は彼女のほうが上だし、尊敬しているから敬語を使っている」と言ったそうです。２年目の社員は「歳は自分の方が上だが、入社は１年先輩で尊敬しているので敬語を使っている」と言ったそうです。この２名は女性ですが、いいコンビとしてお互い刺激をしあいながら、頑張ってくれています。私も本当に期待をしています。そうやってお互い尊敬をし、お互い勉強をしながら成長している社員の様子を聞いて私もとても感動しました。皆さんもこの二人に負けず、沢山の仲間と尊敬し合いながら共に成長し合ってください。
また別の社員からは、『最近朝礼は勉強の場、教育の時間と気づくようになった』と報告ありました。嬉しいです。会社は勉強の場であり 社長や幹部は先生としての心構えをもってください。全て自分次第、心の持ち方で変わります。
Reflection
Problems occur every day. Being able to discover a problem is good and you should reflect upon a problem immediately after it happens. However, reflection alone is meaningless, no matter how much you reflect and write. Only through action can something change. No matter how many reflections you write, if you do not act, there is no meaning in any of these writings. Problems are springing up daily. If you do not take steps to fix the problem then and there, there will not be another chance. I have said this countless times but let me say it again: whether or not [you or something around you] changes is entirely up to you. Change is important. You must wrestle with yourself for change does not come easily. Please act.
At morning assembly today, one of our employees shared something she had been moved by lately: a conversation between two JIT Ceremony employees, one a 2nd and the other a 3rd year employee. She was struck by the fact that both used humble speech patterns when addressing the other and, curious as to why both would be using the same level towards the other, she asked one of the girls. One of the girls responded that she used honorific language because the other girl was older than her while the other girl responded that her choice of speech patterns was because the first girl was her senior at work. Although both employees were women, they make a good combination as they encourage each other in their work. I am also filled with hope and was also very moved by this story of employees respecting each other and studying together as they grow. Please follow in these girls’ examples.
One of our other employees reported that lately he had begun to see the opportunities for study in our daily morning assemblies. I am very happy about this. I and the managers must, as the teachers during this study time, be prepared. [Remember:] everything is what you make of it. Change occurs in the way you carry your heart.
